Explanation of refurbished floor cleaning machines.

A complete refurbishment starts by
purchasing used or neglected equipment in the open market. We look
for low hour machines that offer the most value for a customer. We start
by breaking the machine down during our evaluation and then
rebuilding it from the frame up. We address the functions as well as
the aesthetics. Refurbishments have taken from two months to two days,
depending on the machine. With our standard two months parts and labor
warranty at stake, we make sure that bushings and bearings are checked,
brushes in the electric motors are evaluated, and hydraulic motors are
inspected and resealed. These potential hidden problems are best taken
care of while they are easy to get to. Replaced parts include gaskets,
vacuum hoses, brushes, brooms, blades, cracked hydraulic hoses, filters,
decals, and touch up paint to create just a partial list. After they
are thoroughly tested, machines are ready for delivery on a shipping pallet
or our own trailer. We offer manuals and locally made DVD training
videos for locations where on site instruction is not easily
accomplished.
Since 1996, Caliber Equipment Inc. has hired experienced technicians with
automotive, material handling, and military aircraft backgrounds. But
to achieve a high level of expertise in floor cleaning machines these
technicians need hands on experience and a degree of supervision and support
for a period of time. Caliber Equipment Inc. offers this
training at their Ashland Virginia facility where technicians develop their
skills by refurbishing used equipment which creates a high value product for
our customers. We have four work bays in our building with
complete repair shop capability. Incidentally, their instructor and
mentor, Manny Lawrence, spent his early adult years doing the same thing in
the Tennant Co.'s New Jersey facility.
You can count on a standard that involves lots of new parts, lots of man
hours and lots of pride at delivery. For our efforts, we generally ask
from 40% to 50% of the original price of the machine. We know you can
get a better price for used machines on Ebay, but remember, you are
buying what we purchase and then refurbish.
With one of our refurbished products, you can control your costs and
conserve your cash. We also refurbish equipment to order, call us and
tell us what you need. Financing and rental purchase options are
often available.
