With fewer motors and electronic components than comparable machines which often incorporate more features, the basic design of the 260 B reflects its emphasis on heavy duty scrubbing with reliable performance.  Here, simple and basic, means cost efficient and effective.

Totally removable water tanks have no internal obstructions.  This practical design will allow the operator to easily, and thoroughly, clean out the tank at the end of the day.  This reduces maintenance time and insures that this important task is more likely accomplished.

The automatic vacuum shut off device is designed to prevent water from entering the vacuum motor and damaging it when the recovery tank is full.  There are no hinges to bind or floats to become saturated and fail as seen in other systems.  Instead there is a reliable float assembly that is removable from the tank for easy access and inspection.

The brush drive motor is protected from the jolts and shocks of hitting obstructions by the gear case drive.  This has been a maintenance free element of these machines for over 30 years.  They are virtually indestructible and protect you from replacement of motors which frequently occurs in other manufacturers designs which place motors directly over each brush.  It is this feature that allows us to install heavy scarify discs in place of the regular scrub brushes.  The original version of this scrubber was directly derived from the design used in the Advance concrete grinder machine used to polish terrazzo floors.

Self propelled only when the brushes are turning on the floor and the control console is pushed into the forward position.  This is called “brush drive”.
